N.B: Kindly note that when trying the app on FIGMA, in the home page only 2 pictures work when we press on them as this is just a prototype, but in reality when the app will be launched all will work normally.


To begin our projects, we design the WNS App to raise awareness on the gender-equality. With the help of AI, we want our app to be able to provide women news around the world by identifying key words in other articles from google such as women, sports, name of sports, etc.. or it can be done through the search of # from insta and twitter. By collecting news that covers women’s involvement in sport and provide live women sports broadcasts, will successfully raise the awareness on women’s sports. Furthermore, to provide news and live games not only limited to popular sports (e.g. football, tennis, basketball) but also the less known sports such as: cycling, handball and others.

Our mindmap was to “encourage females of all ages to engage in women sports news. However, besides first-hand news, live games, and game rankings, we figured it is important to raise awareness on the social issues as well. The #metoo and #whereispengshuai movement should be addressed to our users. Furthermore, we are aware that people in modern day all live a busy lifestyle. Therefore, it is crucial to have users get into the habit of reading women sports news for 10-15 minutes a day. Furthermore, to be aware of the social movements that are taking place, especially the #Whereispengshuai movement, #Metoo movement and many more.


Our tests

Target Selection

WSN aims to raise awareness on gender-equality in sports starting with all females audience. Therefore, age groups could vary from teenagers, young professionals, to working parent. However, our goal is to reach as many male audiences as possible as long term goal.

Information Collected

Through the information collected, we were able to know that not everyone is aware of the UN Sustainable Goals and raising awareness in gender equality. However, most of the interviewee (male and female) certainly wants to engage in the women and sport topic. They are also delighted to see the gender equality app being launched. Furthermore, to contribute innovative ideas for the app.

Target Selection

Our long-term goal is to have more male engagement on the topic of gender equality in sport as well. We look to reach all age range of male audience ultimately.

Information Collected

For the potential male audience, we are pleased to know that the male audience is aware of UN sustainability Goals. He is also aware of phenomenal female athletes and would like to see these females athletes empower young girls.

As we can see, the evolution of the application. The home page was changed to become more simple and more attractive. The font was changed as well.

As for the global page, we can see in the first draft we only had news, as the user was obliged to choose directly one sport and one feature to use at a time restricting the user from knowing what the app offers.
It was changed later where the home page now includes all different types of news and sports and it is easier for the user now to go from news to ranking since they are all on the same page.

Future Targets

  • Develop the AI to provide all women sports news
  • Provide as much news as possible per day with the help of the AI
  • Increase reach to words women to help achieve the mission
  • Increase function were in the live score the match can be braodcastes live as well with partnerships with sports channels
